I Finally Did it! :)

I am so excited to finally join the blogging world with all of you FABULOUS teachers who have inspired me every day. I thought I could share with you some of the fun things that we do in my classroom. I am still getting use to this set-up and how the blogging world works, so any help or comments would be majorly helpful! While I am trying to figure this stuff out, feel free to check out a couple of the activities I recently posted on TPT (i'm new there too! :)

This is my 5th year teaching and my 3rd year in 1st, I have taught Kinder and 2nd grade too. I actually looped with my previous class which was an INCREDIBLE experience. In my spare time I LOVE to create for my classroom, spend time with my husband and our wonderful friends and family. I also run a cheerleading program for 3rd and 4th graders at the school that I teach at, and am almost finished with my double masters degree. As you can see i'm ALL KINDS of BUSY, but trying to use what little time I have left to try out this bloggy world! :)

The first is an activity that to use with the FLANIMALS books by Ricky Gervais, I have included 25 different bubble maps and some writing paper tempates too, so students can work on extracting important details and creating a writing piece with the details/characteristics they wrote on their bubble maps. The BEST part is all you have to do is print these in color and they are ready to go, their is hopefully enough for your classroom, so students can choose the one that they like best to work with. Don't you feel like choice goes a long way with the tiny people?
Here's the link to check them out: Flanimal Bubble Map Collection!
The other activity I posted is one using the RHYMING WITH DUST BUNNIES books, you can use this activity and laminate the acctivity mats for center work or you can print them to make classroom books to be used all year long. Please leave me a comment here or on TPT and let me know what you think.
